Shouldn't my 2017 have the HSOC menu option without coding?

Title says it all. I recently installed the hardware and had my i3 flashed so that my US i3 could handle the "traffic jam assist" self-driving mode.

I had the HSOC option previously, but perhaps that is because the former owner enabled it with BimmerCode?

Should the HSOC option be present without modification on a US 2017 model?

No. It must be enabled. Using BimmerCode is the easiest way to do this.

Thanks -- just did that. The prior owner must have done that since it was there when I got the car.
