Yes, easily - the catch is that you have to drive slowly! There was someone on the UK FB group showing an average of 6.1mi/kwh - his average speed was just 16.1 MPH during the 18 mile journey. There was no trickery involved - he was simply driving as you would normally expect during the day in the suburbs of London...
OK, but it sounds like just over a 5 is possible with a mixture of speeds. However, point taken about driving round London...

Over almost 10 years, our 2014, 2019, and 2021 i3 BEV's have averaged ~5.4 mi/kWh. However, our driving conditions are ideal for an i3 with no temperature extremes and only occasional speeds of 65 mph with most driving averaging ~45 mph. I have always inflated tires 7 (2019, 2021) or 10 (2014) psi over the recommended inflation pressures which reduces rolling resistance increasing efficiency. I always drive in Eco Pro almost always allowing ACC to control acceleration and deceleration, so driving like grandpa. 😀

Yes, my default is Eco Pro and try to do as much one-pedal driving as possible. I think I'm going to turn into one of those people that aim to get as much mileage out of a single charge as possible. It's a game in itself. Pity the car software doesn't have a built-in leaderboard for different countries, lol

I regularly achieve a figure in the low 6 miles per kwh,Eco pro plus around town, with a 5.5 on a mixture of roads.
I used to drive the car fast, but now take pleasure in achieving such levels and saving funds. Further the speedsters dont really get there much sooner

I don't really use EP+ as when I switch to it the range hardly changes much from EP but I suppose using it longer term would let me see the benefits. I'll have to try it out a bit more.

Thankyou everyone. The work was done by 'The Wheel Specialist' in Nottingham, and took just two days from delivery of car to picking it up again (link below). They have several branches round the country, including Leeds. A full strip, refurbish, and recoat in gloss black, was just £564, including new valve stems (the TPMS sensors didn't need replacing). It goes without saying that they rebalance the wheels after refitting the tyres.

Much better black! That was hellish expensive though! I had mine done - same treatment as yours £300 (inc vat) at Top Wheels in Morecambe! Mine were the diamond cut wheels fitted to a 2019 120. (Pictures to follow - when it stops raining!)

Actually, coasting is more efficient than regenerative braking and is pretty easy to do by adjusting the power pedal so the power gauge is centered at the bottom between propulsive and regenerative power. On our rolling hills, I try to coast down the descents to avoid regenerative braking losses. This results in increasing speeds which aren't always possible due to traffic. I also try to coast as much as possible when coming to a stop although traffic limits coasting.

Nice job. What settings do you use (comfort, EcoPro, etc?) was the a/c in operation? Where do you live and what was the outside temp?

I live in Florida and my 2018 BMW i3s Rex struggles to stay at 4.0 mi/kwh in the summer.
I'm UK based. On those two road trip days it was mild (14-16 degC), but quite windy. Plus, for around a quarter to a third of the trip it was raining heavily, with spray, on our motorways. The latter I know drags down efficiency.
I use 'eco pro' mode most often, and cruise control where it's safe to. My wife insists on using the A/C, but I try to keep it as light as possible. Otherwise when just driving round town, I use the Pro+ mode, and open the windows rather than use a/c. On those weeks I can often see 140-150 mile ranges predicted.

Alohart:- some bumper stickers on my car, a sign of several happy holidays over your way!
