In the video , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q5ZX9U8NJdM
there are so many customization options in the menu for the remote butoons
I do not see most option , like opening the frunk etc. Only doors and back tailgait

I have comfort access , but not the technology package .
Is that the reason why ?

Also , bimmercode app , also does not seam to have any option to open frunk with the remote.
If otherwise , please confirm, as i did not find it

Apparently, because Americans are so fearful of being mugged in parking lots, the option button with the diamond icon pictured in the video was replaced in North America with an emergency button that sounds the burglar alarm siren. Also, 2014 North American fobs have a frunk open button with an i3 icon as pictured which was replaced in later fobs by a hatch open button with an i8 icon. With Comfort Access, a hatch open button seems useless whereas a frunk open button is useful regardless of whether an i3 has Comfort Access.

I assume that the buttons of all fobs can be reprogrammed as desired by BimmerCode including short, medium, and long button presses being associated with different actions. Because our fobs already have a frunk open button, I haven't looked for that BimmerCode option which must certainly be available. Maybe its description isn't obvious.
