Do you know the meaning of the V4.0.x numbers at the end of each i-step level?

The i-step level of our i3 is I001-22-11-550 which is just one level newer than the i-step level corresponding to my ISTA 4.39.20. I'm hoping that this slight mismatch would not have a noticeable effect on the performance of ISTA 4.39.20 with our i3, but I would prefer to have ISTA 4.40 or later.
