From previous posts I thought that 2G in USA went altogether. I think the distinction is that in the UK the 2G network has to remain functional because it is still used for some undefined emergency services system. Hence the assertion that those functions still work here. I’ll ask on the UK forum for some more concrete pre-LCI evidence.

On a separate note my partners SIM seems to have failed with some suggestion that is related to 3G turning off and some towers not validating older SIM cards. Interesting. Maybe conflating?
My Feb 17 Rex has fully operational MyBMW functions, I have no way of knowing if this is 2G or 4G, and - to be honest - I don't really care, as long as it keeps doing the job.

So in the UK? - pre LCI? - 2G? (As only LCI has 4G and 3G is nearly all turned off in UK now) and remote functions still working? That is good to hear.

So maybe @alohart AT&T killed 2G in USA? Hawaii?

@turns2stone - I assume this means it isn’t HSPA either being an LCI and no 3G. Still I guess it depends if all 3G is turned off in London or some networks still on?
