Reset the idrive

Hello. I am trying to do a reset for the idrive on my 2017 i3 ReX. I found instructions online saying I need to have vehicle in "radio ready" mode and then depress volume button for 30 seconds. Screen will go black and then reset. I can't seem to get this to work. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Yes - what you've found is that the supposedly "universal" way to reboot iDrive does not work on the later (post-2017 facelift?) cars. I don't *think* there is any non-invasive way to do it on those cars.

But perhaps if you say what problems you are having, or what outcome you want to achieve, there may be other ways to do it than rebooting the iDrive?
