Hi , just got lmy 2016 rex, it came with just one key, where is best option for obtaining a spare? cost wise and convenience?

No real options - it's dealer only, as far I'm aware. Definitely something to take into account when buying an i3, if you have to have a second key, as the cost is significant.

thank you, I'm waiting now for a quote from my dealero_O

I purchased my car with only one fob. I ordered a backup in case I lost it.

I do not have the exact price I paid but there are two parts. The integrated key 61-21-7-393-289 and the radio remote control 66-12-5-A40-7C8. Total for both was about $630.00. BMW of Monterey, CA. The key has to be purchased at the dealer. I see the MSRP is $69.36 for the key and $405.00 for the remote (which can be purchased online for $322.22). .bmwnorthwest.com

Now I have to buy another one (lost one) but this time I will shop dealers to try to get a better price on the integrated key.
