With the 3G phaseout, and enjoying CarPlay, my wife and I decided to upgrade our i3 in early 2022 to a newer-model-year used one. But that was when used car prices were absolutely ridiculous. It turned out to be cheaper (with EV tax credit) to buy a brand-new base-model Ford Mach-E instead. So for a little over 2 years, we've had a Mach-E.

We both miss the little i3. We have a Rivian for road tripping, the Mach-E has only 10,500 miles in 27 months of ownership, so the shorter range of the i3 isn't a big deal. And the Mach-E is just a harsh ride. (I hear the higher-end trim's "MagneRide" is much better, but that's not something we can just upgrade to.) We also both miss the significantly easier parking in crowded downtowns.

So now we're in the market for a 120Ah i3 again, now that used car prices have returned to reasonable again. (Found two locally we'll be looking at this weekend.)

You can feel every bump with an i3, couldn't you just put some Michelin tires on the Mac e? I did that with my Prius prime and got an amazing ride.

I recommend a model with 19" tyres. I resently bought a 2017 model with 20" tyres and the ride is quite hard. Not a problem it the road is sufficiantly paved but the some of the local Municipalities in Copenhagen have been slow in repairing the roads. Our winter was hard on the roads and we have a lot of deep potholes.
Another issue seems to get 20" Continentals I had to wait a month for the the front tyres and are on my second month waiting on a set of rear tyres from one of the major business in Denmark.
The staggered (155/60R20 and 175/55R20) tyre setup of the 20" seems to be in short supply
But it might be easier in the US.

This is so odd that a car that's more popular in Europe is hard to get tires. I made my appointment and they were there the next day. I added the precautionary tire warranty because they are so expensive.

Just got new ecopias installed on my 20 inchers - it took less than 3 days to source through tirerack.com (I am in Colorado/USA) - including shipping.

The Bridgestone ecopias is easier to get, but I diden't like the comments about handling and durability when I searched. Test from ADAC and FDM placed the Continental EcoContac6 very high, which is why i went for it.
I would have liked to see a test comparing them side by side.
