Replacing the battery pack would be challenging. It weighs a few hundred pounds. It contains refrigerant lines, so the refrigerant would need to be removed and then replaced after the replacement. The replacement battery pack would need to be registered with the car. I don't know what that entails. There are slight physical differences between 60 Ah, 94 Ah, and 120 Ah battery packs that would need to be resolved.Jos said:my bmw i3 is from 2015

Usable capacity when new was 18.8kWh. Considering the age of the car and local driving circumstances, 100km/62mi might be a decent range in your case. 150km of range will be out of the question, only with a brand new pack this is attainable.100 km with 21 kWh, is bmw cheating. I doubt in battery capacity even when it was new. If my I3 show a consumption less that 12 kWh/100 km where are the other kWh..... At least should do around 150 km.
