Wow. It's funny (from here) to see how the dealer try to get into someone's pocket. Even though it is an insurance job, I wouldn't let them do it. As you said, nothing to do with anything else, apart from sound insulation... Not sure about what year is your car, but I can imagine if it is an earlier model (pre 2017) it would be rather a wright off. Which would be a shame. I also wondering what would the dealer say if they discover some "real" issue with the car...
