hi all
i have lobbed up at a charging station in Albany WA and have found a Tesla already charging there- no biggie, except the plug app says they have another 3hrs30 to run. That is so not cool!!
The plug app has a message facility which I think enables me to message "Tesla Mike" telling him I am waiting, but I dont want to make an enemy of a fellow local user. But by the same token, hogging the charger while he goes off to work is rude by anyone's standards!!
any thoughts?

If he's charging, he has a right to be there. Perhaps he's gone off to work, or maybe he's partway through a long journey and needs a full battery to get to his destination?

If a car is sitting there at near fully charged then there might be a case to send a polite message saying that you have an urgent need - because charging slows quite drastically on all EVs when they get close to fully charged and he would be gaining much less than you would. IIRC some operators have been configuring their chargers to shut off when the receiving car is above (say) 80% for that reason.

But unfortunately the best solution at the moment is just to go elsewhere (I know, not easy in some locations, but improving all the time).
