Hey everyone! I’m new here but have been driving a 2017 BMW i3 REX since 2020. I’ve put roughly 60k miles on the i3 since ownership. The car currently has 96k on it. I can say it’s one of the best daily drivers I’ve ever driven. I wanted to get some extra advice on fixing odd ball repairs and have already found phenomenal info on this site. I look forward to being part of a dedicated i3 community.

Also here’s a photo of my pretty i3. I have done some minimal body work. I color matched the hood, added a wind splitter, a spoiler, new side mirror covers, changed the turn signals in the side mirrors and added a hitch to the back.

Looking good! Would be interested in hearing about your hitch experience.
I installed the hitch with help from a friend. I got the hitch from Etrailer.com. I haven’t towed anything just used it for a bike rack and a hitch mounted basket. I’ve used the hitch mounted basket many times to get heavy items like 10 bags of mulch and a tree. I have also gone cross country, 1,300 miles in 3 days, with two wheels strapped to the back of the i3 in the hitch mounted basket. I do wanna add a trailer plug to the i3 but don’t exactly have a practical reason to right now.

I need to find the photos with the 10 bags of mulch in the basket and or the photos of the tree in the basket, but here’s the photos with the wheels in the back. I also got a full set of i8 wheels from Germany 20x7.5 all around. They fit on the rear axle perfectly with no spacers but the front you need at least 12-15mm spacers for the i8 wheels to fit.
