    So did mine, but the starting price of a BEV is $43k. When making comparisons against the competition usually the base price is used for all models to keep things relative. Model S can be optioned to $135k, for instance.

    I agree with epirali. In 2017 a 200 mi range i3 around a similar price is still compelling, probably more so with REx. No way will it remain compelling for 80 mile range!

    My local dealer quoted me $1450 for the full OEM winter wheel set on 427s. The 19" winter tires with TPS costs nearly $1000 and requires a service fee twice a year to swap. Considering I could resell the winter set after my lease, I don't see really a big difference between biannual swapping...

    I am in favor of a "soft" disable for the ACC where regen doesn't kick in. We don't need regen to alert the driver as a tone and the display could be used instead.     It's been documented elsewhere that changing the hold mode set point only changes the little caret on the dash, but does not actually change the behavior of when REx turns on. It will still come on at 6%.

    Low quality screen? It's the highest resolution/quality screen I've seen in any car yet. I mean it's no iPad, but to say it's low resolution seems odd. From where the driver sits the resolutions is already high enough that increasing it probably wouldn't be noticeable.

    You have coded in office menu and you DO have SMS visible on the i3? Does this happen only when plugged in via USB. I've coded the office menu on mine but haven't seen any message envelopes. I don't plug in my phone though--100% Bluetooth.

    ..Unless you have a pre-conditioning schedule enabled, in which case the display shows you the next pre-condition time instead of the charge ETA. A truly baffling decision by BMW considering a schedule by its very definition is something that doesn't vary over time!

    Idaho National Laboratory has a document Steady State Vehicle Charging Fact Sheet that covers the 2014 i3. They've also measured other EVs here. Pretty interesting stuff if you're into stats. You can save a few pennies per charge on L2 vs L1. :mrgreen:

    I like them all except for the rear door panels. That looks goofy to me like when you see a car with a mismatched painted panel because they pulled it from the junkyard and didn't repaint.
