That's definitely the best review I've seen yet. Very sensible, clearly explained and importantly doesn't try to compare it to something it's not trying to be!

Definitely a great review. Well shot, well produced, and well written.

I am really struggling - watching this makes me totally want the car, but then looking at the financials released this week showing how much it will actually cost to lease makes me want to avoid the car. Left brain, right brain, which one will win? :)

Here's how I persuaded myself it was a good idea:

  • My current car costs £283 per month to lease, plus approx. £120-150 a month in petrol.
I was going to spend the deposit money regardless, no matter the car.
The i3 worked out at £365 a month, but only around £10-15 a month in electricity.
I also get a rebate from my insurance, as the i3 is significantly cheaper for me - covers some of the wallbox installation cost.

So if you discount the deposit it's actually saving me money. Plus the lack of MOTs and tax too. Oh and my current car literally drinks oil too, which isn't cheap.

Personally I'd say the cars worth the premium anyway, although I have wanted one since the very first concepts :p
