What's Better: Bridgestone Blizzak LM500 OR Nokian WR D4 ?

I have the Blizzak on my i3, and Nokian R3 on my GT. While not the Nokian you indicate, the R3 is available as well. The R3 is a winter 'only' tire, while the WR series is a winter tire that works on warm situations, too, as long as you don't say live in the desert where it regularly gets super hot.

Between the two, while I've not driven an i3 with the Nokian tire, I do really like the R3 on my other vehicle. It's quiet, does not seem to give the mileage hit a normal winter tire does, and rides well. The WR series is better if you see a lot of wet, slush, and rain in addition to snow. The R3 is better in deep snow and ice than the WR series, stopping significantly shorter than the WR series on ice, but the WR series is still better than the stock OEM all-seasons tire sold on the i3 in the winter.

If you want an all-season that is actually rated as a winter tire, too (has the mountain symbol only 'true' winter tires get), the WR series is better. IF you want better traction on deep snow and ice, the R3 is better. The Blizzak is an okay winter tire, not fantastic, IMHO.

I dont want an all-season tire. I have summer and winter tire (Bridgestone Blizzak LM500). Now i looking around new winter tire.

The Nokian R3 is a dedicated winter tire. THe WR series also gets the snowflake/mountain symbol reserved for winter tires, but is also rated as all season (this is very rare in the industry). For best performance, I think the R3 is a better tire than the Bridgestone and the test results on ice show it. If you deal mostly with slush or wet roads, the WR series has better wet grip, but the R3 has better ice grip.
