20 years of diesels 'till 2004. Since '04 I've worn out 5 Priuses (Prii?) with the last covering just shy of 350k miles, a Mariner Hybrid, a couple of jeeps, and a VW Eos (for fun). 168k on my i3 - most reliable vehicle I've ever owned.

I bought my 2018 i3 ReX as a CPO in Nov. 2020 because I saw it as a way to try electric for relatively cheap and get a BMW as well. It had less than 9,000 miles on it when I drove it away from the dealer! I haven't been disappointed!

Before that, my daily driver was a 2008 Saab 9-3 Aero Sportcombi. Hiding under the hood of a soccer mom car was a V6 with a turbo and a six-speed stick. The engine was designed by a worldwide GM team led by Australian Holden. IIRC, it had 285 HP and 295 ft. lb. of torque. The same engine was used in the smaller Buicks and Cadilliacs. As far as I know, Saab's engineers were the only ones to fit it with a turbo. My i3 feels like it develops equal torque. My other car was a 1992 Saab 900 Turbo Convertible. I miss that one still. We keep eying the i4, but probably as a replacement for my wife's 2010 Benz E350.

I'm driving a 2001 325i for now, my new 2019 i3S REX should be shipping out to me next week. Before that I had a 2002 Golf TDI that was fantastic. The family car is a 2009 535xi wagon (stick shift) as the i3S will obviously be the commuter.
All vehicles owned in order:

1986 VW Golf GT
1999 VW Passat GLX (accident, fixed and then traded in)
2000 VW Jetta TDI
2018 BMW i3 REX
2021 BMW i3 REX (totalled)
2019 BMW i3S REX current daily driver
2021 BMW i3S REX wife's daily driver

Fun topic! I love my i3Rex and drive it 95% of the time. Before this, I've been a Saab guy for decades, and still love my '04 93 5-speed convertible. It will be tough to part with, but an i4 might persuade me once the used prices get to the point where I can afford them.
Hi I owned a X5 msport then sold that and bought a X3 msport and as soon as I saw an i3 for sale I couldn't resist it so I bought it and then.so pleased with it that I then sold the X3 I have just upgraded the headunit to ID5 /6 and it's great to have CarPlay and lots of other facilities, better graphics and also sat nav maps , so well pleased, looking to install electric boot opener next.

"What car were you driving before you switched to electric, and do you miss it?"

Jaguar XE typeR supercharged. I miss the sound. I don't miss the 15mpg in the city

"Would you ever consider going back to fossil fuel, or are you fully committed to EV life?"

Yes I would consider a non-EV, if the situation calls for it. I would prefer an EV and am fully content with my 2017 i3 BEV. Problem is that there are no new EV's out there that fit what I want.

Oh, I forget:
No, I‘ll never want to go back to fossil fuels, although public charging in Germany is expensive and prices are intransparent.
