UK i3 Owners: Question!

Good evening all!

Today I started the process researching the i3,

My local dealer took me out and I was very impressed! I'm going to be using the i3 every day for my daily commute which will keep my fun car in good order ready for sunny days

I'm interested to hear about finance plan's you went for and if your willing to share your finance figures as that would be much appreciated to help give me a good understanding before negotiation begins! (Not that I'm expecting any discount as they seem popular given the lead time?!) I'm looking to keep monthly costs down so financing over the longest period for minimal deposit.

Negotiation wasn't an option if financing through BMW. We went to 2 dealers and both told us the same thing: BMW didn't want the usual mess of dealers offering different numbers; they just want to get i3's out the door via the same numbers from any dealer. There's no movement on options cost due to popularity--as a 6 month build wait can attest. You'd likely only get movement on a showroom or test model, though they are likely to need to retain those due to the popularity of people wanting to test drive.

In terms of finance numbers, there was roughly a £50 per month difference for every £1000 on the deposit for a 3 year lease. We didn't want to buy outright or lease longer due to the very high prospect of the technology advancing significantly in the next 3 years.

I found this when looking for a dealer number and postcode of the 'Aftersales' for an MOT. Under BMW in the app store or from the barons website where there is a link I think? also appears that there is an Android version out there.

There is a page that describes the different options between BMW Select and BMW Contract Hire. The later more for business where there is some benefit around VAT reclaim. Select gives guaranteed future value.

You can play with deposit values and term. The interest rate seems to be at 9.9% I think that is more like 8.9% now as this seems to be from 2011.
