Shock absorber rubber boots

As I was told, the front shock absorber's rubber boots are torn. Replacing them would require removing the shock absorber and spring, which is a lot of work.

For now, I decided to cover the shock absorber with a coilover cover I already had until I’m ready to replace the boots.

It seems like there’s no interference, but I’ll need to take my i3 out for a test drive to confirm.
