Range reduction on Sat Nav

Hey Guys,

Just noticed this, I don't think its happened before:

Remaining range is 72 miles
Type in a destination of 43 miles
Range indicator falls to 60 miles

Has anyone experienced this?

When a destination is entered, the estimated range calculation has more information to use when estimating the range. If the route to the destination is hilly, less range, or if the average speed limit is high, less range. So the range could increase or decrease when a destination is entered.

That explanation makes because when 'stop guidance' is activated the range returns to the original figure.
