Hi.
We have a UK 2018 rex on about 60k miles with a new 12v battery fitted by BMW, in advance of any issues, around a your ago ....
We have noticed that if we plug either of our mobile phones into the 12v socket under the centre of the dash (via an adaptor) the charge goes DOWN on the phone, not up.
I will be trying a different adaptor soon but this one was fine for some time before, so ......
Anyone noticed this as well? or have an idea of what it may be "telling"us? (apart from "get your phone charged at home" that is!)

Do you have any evidence that there is 12V at the socket? Some USB adaptors have LEDs to show when they are on, and some don't... But if I had to guess, the adaptor is likely to be faulty. They are made very very cheaply, and the Chinese manufacturers skimp on every single component that they can...

Thanks, yes, the led on it still works as before ... but I'm still hoping that it IS the adaptor as opposed to anything on the car for obvious reasons!

If it is draining your phone battery, did you check if the car range went up a bit? Maybe there is a hidden feature to charge your car with a mobile phone in case you run out of electrons before reaching a charging point. Just guessing..
Haha!
