iRemote not connecting to vehicle

Since my Android app updated itself on 31.01, it can no longer communicate to the car. It connects to the BMW server but then fails when it tries to send to the vehicle. I am also not getting any vehicle status updates. How to I restore communication?
 
Mine didn't connect either until after I used the Web based app to connect, then the Android app started connecting again
 
I believe it depends which country you live in. It makes answering questions like this easier if you put your location in your profile.
 
Press the SOS button in the car, let Assist know your call is not an emergency, and request that the rep send a message to your car. This restored real-time traffic in the Nav and iRemote.app communication.

https://www.bmw-connecteddrive.com isn't yet available in North America.
 
After pressing the SOS button, I was transferred to a BMW Genius who then transferred me to a BMW Concierge. The solution was to download a new update to my car's software. (ConnectedDrive-->Options-->Update.) Once the software was updated, I could once again communicate with me car. Thanks to you both for helping.
