ipod connectivity issues

Has a 1 experienced difficulties with connecting a non-Bluetooth iPod music player to their BMW I3? 9 seems to intermittently cut out the connection and has difficulty reconnecting despite plugging and unplugging the device and/or turning the stereo on and off. I have tried new cords and that does not seem to change the issue. It does not seem to have a problem with Bluetooth device as such as my iPhone

Yes, mine works perfectly for weeks and then will go for a day or two not connecting for 5 minutes or more. No rhyme nor reason for this as far as I can find.

My wife has the same issue with an old ipod classic and her honda odyssey, so maybe it's more an iPod thing than an i3 thing.

Correct, iPod issue not i3 or BMW problem. Has been discussed in prior threads. Best solution is to restart iPod. If that isn't adequate, plug the iPod into your computer and restore the software. In my experience, it happens more often with hard drive based iPods than the flash memory ones.
