Whenever I've washed our 3 Comfort Access-equipped i3's over the past decade, the doors have locked/unlocked repeatedly. I don't know how to prevent this other than not having the fob close by. However, I have to drive to our apartment's car wash area so I must have the fob with me.

If you know how to disable this behavior temporarily, please post instructions.
I would only try this if you have 2 keys, but I've seen others say to keep a key inside the car and it won't lock. So if you left it on the driver seat perhaps. As long as you don't have a key in your pocket the water shouldn't lock it because a key needs to be within 1 meter of the outside of the door generally.

Thanks! I'll give it a try. If our i3 locks, I should be able to unlock it with the My BMW app. If that fails, I'd walk back to our apartment to get the spare fob.
