Your Remote Services have been extended.

We have exciting news for you. BMW has extended our popular Remote Services on your 2018 BMW i3 with VIN ending in ****, at no additional charge to you for as long as we are technically able to offer it. This includes services such as Remote Door Unlock and Lock, Stolen Vehicle Recovery, and the ability to interact with your vehicle via the My BMW App.

If you already use Remote Services and the My BMW App, you can continue to enjoy those services without interruption. If you do not yet use Remote Services, download the My BMW App, log in with your BMW ID, and add your vehicle, if necessary.
PRECONDITIONING
Based on your vehicle's equipment, the My BMW App may allow you to remotely start the ventilation in your interior, start your engine to fully cool or warm your interior (requires Remote Engine Start option), precondition your EV's battery, and more.
REMOTE DOOR UNLOCK
If you ever lock your keys in your BMW, call our BMW Assist Customer Care toll-free at 1-888-333-6118 and we will send a signal to your driver's door to unlock it, after an identity verification is completed. Or, you can open the My BMW App to unlock your BMW as well.
STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY
After filing a police report, contact BMW Assist Customer Care, toll-free, at 1-888-333-6118. Our dedicated team can help the police locate your vehicle. Insurance discounts may be available to you as well.

I downloaded the app, logged in and it shows no data. I went to mybmw.bmwusa.com and it shows that my services are active.
I don't know what to make out of it. Anyone else received such email? Do the services work?

I received the same email but my remote services don't expire until next year. So far, the expiration date has not changed. I saw reports from posters here with older i3s that had received the same email. I didn't really expect to get the email until next year.

Only the services that are described in the email will function without a subscription.
If you want "data" from the car such as Battery status, Charging History, location of car, you have to have a paid subscription.
