"Cannot be stored" error with radio

Can the present buttons on the dash (the ones labelled 1 through 8) be used to store a radio station? I was sure they could but when I pick a radio station and press and hold down on one of the buttons, I get an error that says "Cannot be store".

Any ideas? Seems really strange that you can't store a radio station but I'm not sure what I could do differently.

You can use the buttons to store all sorts of things in addition to radio stations. I do not remember how to delete a saved function, but you may want to look that up. IF you've not saved anything, just try to do a reset all, and see what happens.

I don't think you delete, you just overwrite a function button.

Haven't tried it on the i3, but on some models, if you 'hover' over a button, it displays the functionality of it on the screen. But, I've not experienced the problem the OP indicated, but don't actually store much there.

That's what's odd: It's a brand new i3 and nothing is stored there. I was able to store other items - like calling a specific phone number - but not a radio station.

Can someone try it and let me know if it works for them?

I have DAB stations stored on a couple of buttons but it would not store BBC Five live sports extra, I believe it's considered a sub service rather than a full service. Not tried with FM.

DAB is Europe's digital radio.

You might need to go to the screen where you choose the station and instead of clicking, press and hold.

I think if you're on the screen where you're listening, it's too late. Hit the back button

I just had to recreate presets because my car was in for the KLE fix/software updates last week. From the tuning screen, just press and hold to store the current station. Also works with satellite stations, internal HD, USB input, phone numbers, destinations, etc. The only item I haven't been able to store is a Saved Trip itinerary.

Bingo! That was the problem. I tried to make a present from the listening view. If I click on the pyramid icon (just below "FM" in the top left corner of the screen), it works fine.

This is the screen I was on when it didn't work.
