We’ve had a Brake System Warnung message appearing on both screens this morning. Orange Exclamation Mark, ABS and the Traction Lights are showing on screens. Driving at moderate speed still possible and we’ll take it to our BMW garage next week.

When driving, the Regen braking has gone and only normal braking using traditional pedal action is possible.

Anybody else has this problem?

Hi, my i3 have just developed the same issue. What was the outcome with yours, what was the issue, is it fixed now, how is the car since?

Solution: Cleared errors using bimmer code then drove the car around with no issues.

After researching the issue with the AbS and DSC lights on with no power braking, and taking a reading of the codes in all modules, It became clear that bad recent towing was likely the culprit; perhaps another likely cause is very dirty wheel speed sensors as Bimmercode showed speed sensor errors front and rear.

I am having the same issue, with the warning to continue driving moderately, but have it checked at a dealer. That was some months ago, and I have yet to experience any signs of brake failure. You said that you solved the problem using bimmercode, but I haven't a clue about using electronics like that, unless it's something I can do using the screens in the car. Any ideas?

Bimmercode is a mobile-phone based diagnostic app. If you put the word into your favourite internet search tool, you'll find their website, which explains what it is and how it works.
