Blue / Grey Sill Trims

I am looking to change the Grey sill trims in my i3 to Blue.

These look as though they locate with 8 tabs along the bottom edge so I am assuming they need to be prised out along the top edge first with a trim removal tool and then they will pull out (upwards).

Anybody done this? Am I assuming correctly?

I can now answer my own question on this having changed them over this morning (15 mins a side).

They prise up from the bottom as the upper part of the trim fits over a 'lip'.

The blue trims look (IMO) much better on an Imperial Blue car - and at £40 each, while not cheap, they are not BMW mega-expensive!

Thank you for posting this! I bought an auction i3 that was backed into with a trailer hitch, which broke the blue trim sill. I was having a hard time finding a replacement because I didn't know what to call it or how to remove it. Thanks for taking the time even though no one helped you!
