Today, my 2014 i3 Rex developed a problem with the ambient (mood) lighting. I noticed that the LEDs that are directly below the main display AND the ones in the INTERIOR door handles remains ON unless I lock the car. If it's not locked, those LED lamps remain ON indefinitely.

Anyone else experienced this? If so, what's the fix.?

How long did you wait for them to shut off?

They were ON for over three hours before we noticed that they were still ON. This morning, I UNLOCKED the car to disconnect the charging cable using the remote key fob. I DID NOT open the cars' door. Just disconnected the charging cable and shut the access door. I looked inside the car, and YES, they were ON again! Re-locked the car using the remote key fob, and they turned OFF immediately.

If your car is not plugged in then the 12v battery is not being maintained, so I would lock the car until you can get it to the dealer.

The car should still be under warranty, just make an appointment.
