I couldn't get image embed to work and ran out of patience. In this photo you can see the difference in bolt sizes from the BMW long bolt to the shorter bolt that comes with the Amazon battery. They are not even the same diameter. You will need an M6 adaptor kit for the terminals.

In my experience, the terminals do NOT swap over perfectly. The bolts that came with the battery aren't long enough to swap. Need adaptor or proper length M6 bolts.
Odd. As shown in the photos in post #10, I was able to tightly fit the terminals. Its possible that I used the existing bolts from the old battery.

I've installed this Energizer on my neighbor's i3. I used the OEM bolts. The Energizer terminals are not threaded like the OEM battery but the battery comes with a packet of bolts and rectangular nuts. One set of those nuts fits the OEM bolts after sliding into the square terminals. I did not use any of the other bolt/nuts in the package that came with the battery.

Thanks EvanstonI3. I now recall doing the same thing when I transferred the terminals over to the Energizer battery.

I'm also testing a LFP battery in our 2019 U.S. i3. The model that I'm testing is considerably more expensive than your Moseworth battery, but it does include a Bluetooth radio that communicates with a smartphone with an app that displays quite a bit of information about the current battery state and supports turning off charging and/or discharging.

The height of the Moseworth battery is ~0.2" taller than the OEM battery just as the LFP battery that I installed. To be able to install the battery hold-down bracket, I had to remove the pad on the underside of the top horizontal section of this bracket. I stuck this pad on the inside of vertical section to tighten up the fit for this battery that's not as thick as the OEM battery. Did you have similar fit problems?
ALOART - what is the LFP model 12v you mentioned here AND what’s the prognosis after 3 years?

Ohmmu G1DC22. Be aware that this battery has no built-in cell heater, so it probably shouldn't be used in below-freezing temperatures.

For cold climates, this much more expensive Ohmmu Rivian battery with a cell heater should work well.

Both can be made to fit an i3 with the addition of a set of screw-on SAE posts. Some modifications are necessary. I can provide details if someone is interested.

I've had one of these batteries installed in our i3's with no problems for ~15 months.
