Looking at a 2015 Rex demo car and was wondering if this is a good deal.
2015 i3 Rex Mega with the Tech and driving package, Parking assist, and 20in wheels (MSRP 52000). Demo has almost 3000 miles on it and they are asking 44k.

I was thinking of countering with 39K based on this ARTICLE

Do you think this is an acceptable counter? I dont want to be unreasonable, but the price now would be stretching my budget.

If this is unreasonable, how do you determine the value of a demo unit?

Was it titled already? If you are the first owner than it's a good deal as you will still get the $7,500 federal tax credit. If they titled it already, and you are the second owner than it's a TERRIBLE deal. MSRP of $52,000 minus the Fed tax credit is $44,500. So they are discounting it $500 because it's used - not a good deal for you!

If it's already titled, and you're the 2nd owner, than I would personally not pay more than $40K.

i assume it is not titled since they are using the 7500 lease credit on top of the asking price.

Seems like a decent deal for a 2015, assuming the selling price you've listed is before the federal credit is applied.

On a separate note, a Mega with almost all options is a bit of an unusual config, since you'll still be lacking comfort access and the garage door opener.
