Where does the other end of the 12V battery vent tube connect?

Hi everyone.

I'm replacing my 2014 i3's weak 12V battery with a Remy AUX18L and while obvious where the L connector of the vent tube goes on the battery, I'm not clear where and whether the other end connects to something in the frunk area - the tube came out with the battery before I could disconnect from the top of the old battery.

Any guidance would be most appreciated!

I haven't seen it with my own eyeballs, but according to BMW's diagram which ought to be fairly precise, the answer is "back in and down."

Did you ever find where the other end is connected too?

It's not connected to anything. It just vents underneath the car.
