We will most likely be moving our i3 REX to Europe. The cost difference between selling it in the US and purchasing the exact same car in the EU would be around $12K.

Focusing on changing only, I found these two adapters that seem to promise to be able to allow for charging in Europe without any modifications to the car, for both Level 2 and DC charging.

Am I looking at this correctly? Anybody has any experience with similar adapters? Other ones to recommend?

Thanks!

The second listing seems to be based in China, and I’m always wary of adapters, especially higher voltage and current, that may suffer from material/design/construction shortcomings.

The first listing is not an adapter and seems to at least have a phone and physical presence in the Bay Area - why not call them up?

Thanks! Yes, the first one is the full J1772 charger with a Euro plug on the other end. I have approached them through eBay, and they replied saying that yes, that charger is intended for US cars charging in Europe.

About the CCS combo one, I see that there are many others. But I can’t really find many reports of people actually using them. The most was a brief mention in a video saying that they may cause compatibility issues with some locations.

I have asked a couple of dealers in Europe for estimates on replacing the plug on the car itself. I will report back when I hear from them.
