US $2000 innovation credit

I see BMW NA is now offering a $2000 innovation credit on the i3. I'm not familiar with the BMW lingo; Is that just like any other auto manufacturer's point-of-sale rebate?

Leases are getting a $1000 innovation credit. I'm not sure about Owner's Choice.

BEV's get a $2000 credit
REx's get a $1000 credit

Both apply to leased cars

Innovations credit is just a fancy word for rebate. .. sorry to hear you leased it before the IC and the residual bump! Has anyone ever tried calling up BMW NA in the past when a new innovations credit or residual bump comes through shortly after purchase?
