I just got a nearly new (2K miles) 2014 REX. Giga with tech package; No park assist, upgraded audio or 20" wheels.

Couple of stupid/base random questions:

1) Is there a software config that would fold side mirrors every time car is locked?
2) Odd that back-up view of sensors during reverse stay on for 10-15 seconds after shifting to Drive and moving. Is that normal?
3) I have not yet used the gas generator, why is it that the distance available on the Extender ranges from 31-52 mi? What variables affect how many miles I have on an unchanged amount of fuel?
4) This is not always present, but on the Navigation screen there is often 2 small boxes that float all around the screen?? They are the driving modes, COMFORT and ECO + . I'm baffled, the car is in Comfort and I can not figure out why these floating boxes move all over the Nav screen. Comfort is a while box and Eco + is blue. Any idea?
5) I have a couple messy dogs and would like a custom fit rubber mat for the back of the car when the back seats are down. I bought front and backseat ones from weathertech but haven't found a fitted one for the whole back area.

Guess that is it for today

1. Yes, but you have to code the car to change this setting.
2. Yes, normal.
3. Depends on past ~20 miles of driving; drive conservatively, range increases.
4. Sounds like the driving-mode info screen. You can turn it off by unchecking a box in one of the settings > vehicle info windows. Look for Driving mode info.
5. BMW made something for the i3 called a function cover that might work with dogs.

4 - that's showing you your range in comfort and eco pro. a lot of people call that the spider map
5 - check out weathertech
