Is there anything special about removing and replacing the refrigerant in the i3, besides the type and the amount and the special non conductive oil? I imagine there are valves that keep the refrigerant from cooling the battery when the battery is at a good temp and you are only asking for interior cooling. I would think that would hinder the evacuation and replacement of refrigerant.

Apparently, ya just treat it like any other auto A/C system. I just took my 2014 bev for a 126 mile drive and got home with 25 miles range showing on the guess o meter. A/C worked fine. Still not sure if the batter cooling was used at any point.

So other than handling the AC system and doing the physical swap, what else had to be done to make it work?
