Hi everyone,

Anyone had experience with a rear facing car seat in the back of the i3? I just want to make sure it's doable and not a deal breaker for us as a second car.

I'm 6'5" so it would be on passenger side and I'd normally have the flexibility to move the front passenger seat forward as much as I need. Also curious if the suicide doors help or hinder getting back there to put the kiddo in.

We currently use a Britax Marathon which is a bit of a beast so any thoughts on other models that might fit better would be really helpful.

Cheers,

We have another baby on the way, and I've test fitted our Britax Chaperone several times - with the front seat adjusted for a 6' passenger, the infant seat barely makes contact with the front seat. Our seat/base is very large for an infant seat, so others may fit a bit easier.

Buckling an infant in with the seat already in the car may be a challenge, but we typically take the seat out and keep it in the house, so I don't think it will be too much hassle.

The i3 rear door setup/missing b-pillar is great for front facing seats (we have a Britax Boulevard).

I have the britax bsafe. It fits reasonably well, leaving enough room for an average sized person in the front seat.

It is tight to get my son in/out of the seat though. The door just isn't hinged far enough back to give enough room

Thanks guys. We've just graduated from the Britax B-Safe and now have a convertible rear facing seat. Bigger for sure so that's a worry but guessing if you don't have a passenger and the seat goes far enough forward that it'll probably work ok. At least that's the hope!
