Rain sensor with auto. headlight activation has failed

The Rain sensor with auto. headlight activation has failed on my i3. They were working OK when the car was first delivered.

With the light switch in the auto position the dipped headlights are fully on, even on a bright sunny day and the auto wiper function does not work even in heavy rain.

I have the car booked in at Sytner BMW, Harold Wood next Thursday for an investigation.

The auto rain detection function is separately enabled by the button on the end of the right hand stalk. I was hoping that it would "just work" rather than having to enable it whenever you see rain though!

Same as my 1

It doesn't auto enable so it won't come on in a car wash.

My wives benz is auto enabled and can easily cause damage if you forget to turn off in a car wash
