We have had the i3 for three weeks, the past week its been at the service department as they try to address our concerns:
1. The majority of the time (not all the time) when I plug into a Blink or Charge-Point, the charging is immediately interrupted with a messaging stating the car is fully charged or charging has been paused by the vehicle.
2. Often the vehicle will not accept a charge from Charge Point or Blink if the charge is only down 15-20 miles. more successful when its down to less than 30 miles on the battery.
3. Wont charge to 100% with charge Point or Blink, but does so at home.
4. On occasion we were unable to charge the car from Charge Point or blink unless we left the car unlocked. At times it would only charge when the car was locked
5. I have greatest success using the Fast Chargers when I can find them.
6. We just installed a 240V Bosch EL-51253 Power Max 30 Amp Electric Vehicle Charging Station the week before we took the car n to have these concerns addressed. Whereas the car would begin charging automatically at 11pm per our programming, when we were using the house 110V power, the car would not automatically charge using the 240V Bosch. It would however charge if I reset the car to charge immediately. We also tried the time charging wiht the doors locked and unlocked. On some nights when it was set for automatic chaging to begin at 11pm I had to go and either: unlock the car or press the BMW button on the fob (to check the dashboard display) upon which the car and charger came to life and started charging.

At this time the BMW dealer is indicating they think all the problems are due to the Bosch charger which is a load of bunk as many of the quirks preceded use of our Bosch Charger at home.

So my questions are has anyone else experienced any of these problems and if so how was it fixed and secondly, has anyone else used the Bosch EL-51253 Power Max 30 Amp Electric Vehicle Charging Station, and if so have you had any problems with it charging the i3?

I'll re-post this long question under the General Discussion section as I am not sure where I am likely to capture the most attention.

Thanks in advance for any information you may have.

I have had terrible luck with Blink charging. The very first time it charged from 45 to 100 % SOC overnight and the next day none of the 8 units at the same place would work. I got the same message as you on every one I tried. BTW, I was also charged $55 to charge my car since this unit billed for every 30 seconds you were plugged in and I arrived at my hotel, plugged in and went to bed. Beware!!!
