Is it possible to retro fit Mini Ev's onboard charger to BMW i3 if so how about other BMW onboard chargers?

Many i3 markets have i3's with 11 kW (power, not kWh energy) on-board chargers. However, they require 3-phase AC input which isn't common in North American residences and isn't compatible with North American J1772 charge ports. North American i3's are limited to 7.4 kW single-phase AC power.

Does the Mini's 11 kW charger require 3-phase AC power? If not, a very clever person might be able to adapt it to an i3. However, much of the electronic equipment in an i3 must be programmed to the i3 into which it has been installed. Figuring out how to program a Mini charger to an i3 might be very challenging.
