Inductive from below battery pack charging

You just park it and it starts charging the car from below.

I think this will be level 4 charging... 200 kWh pumped into the battery all at once over a 10 sq.ft area, and ultimate convenience.

This is why I didn't get the fast DC charger in spite of my 100 miles each way commute.

BMW has talked about inductive charging, but it is going to be awhile before you see it IMHO. TO make it work at the power levels you indicate, you need to add a fairly big coil to the car, which also adds weight, and decreases range if you want to be able to do it quickly. One big enough to have say the current equivalent charging levels is much more likely to occur sooner.
