Having issues with my JuiceBox40 and looking for any other users that own an Enel JuiceBox EVSE. I reside in Northern California and have owned a JuiceBox since 2019 when I purchased my 2017 i3 REx. It generally worked okay though I have had 3 replacements (no extra charge thank goodness). I have also had to re-configure this last unit about 4-5 times. I had the i3 set up to charge immediately; and the JuiceBox to only charge from 12:01am to 3pm (the window of cheapest power from my utility PGE).

In October 2024, Enel announced ( https://www.juiceboxnorthamerica.com/ ) that transitioning all support to https://support.voltie.us/ Theoretically, they will be producing new smartphone software to support my JuiceBox.

In the meantime I am experiencing intermittent response to my scheduled charging. While I can still use the software on my iPhone, Recently, the Jukebox is not charging my vehicle during the scheduled times. I have to muck around with the iPhone software (turning off and on scheduled charging) to get the unit to work. Finally the Jukebox got so "confused" that I decided to power cycle it.

The good news is that the Jukebox will just charge immediately.

So....while I impatiently wait for Voltie to produce some better software to support my Jukebox, I am looking for other Jukebox users that may have figured out a better way to live with their JuiceBox.

thanx

I'm in a slightly similar position in that I've got an EO Mini Pro EVSE, which I think may use the same hardware, but sold in the UK. I bought it in a damaged state and repaired it, and started using at around the time that Enel took over from (I think) Juicebox. Since then I've been using the Enel X Way app, which seems to work quite well.

The main issue I have is that, when using the Time Of Use feature, I have to turn off the scheduled charging so that the car gets charged for a few seconds, and then turn it on again. If I don't do that, the car produces an error. But the problem is consistent, so I can live with it.

Is it fair to assume that the Enel X Way app is not available in the US?

[Edit: to add: the Enel X Way app is an Android app - I have no way to know if it even exists for IOS]

The Enel X-way app is still available for iOS (in the Apple App Store). I still have it on my phone too.
I have just been having problems with the Jukebox starting to charging during the pre-set windows when I it is plugged in. Because of this unreliable charging, I have had to power-boot the Jukebox and leave it in default, not connected to wifi, mode. It basically functions as a EVSE with no ability to set a desired charging window.

Inconvenient and annoying. However, I can still use it to charge. I am reaching out here in hopes of finding someone who has some trial & error Voodoo to make it work with a desired Enel X-way app charging window.
