Driver's side seatbelt knotting?

Has anyone else encountered frequent times where their driver's side seatbelt gets twisted and stuck in the shoulder anchor slot on the door? Mine seems to do it every few days, and I have to un-fold the belt and stuff it back through the slot in order to make the belt retract. Just wondering how common this annoyance is, and if I should bring it in for warranty service as a defective safety device.....

This problem has been reported by several earlier i3 owners. I think the fix requires accessing the seat belt reel where the twist actually is. It has been fixed by a BMW dealer at no cost if a warranty exists or DIY.
