DC fast charge in Northeast/NYC area?

Are there any DC fast charge stations (home or public) in the Northeast or NYC area?

I'm a journalist testing an i3 REX, and I'd love to see this tech in action. So far, I've been finding plenty of Level 2s, but no quick charging stations.

Definitely not looking for Chademo; had my series of issues with that this weekend. Nothing popping up in PlugShare south of Vermont, so access to any private chargers would be amazing. Thanks!

Good luck on looking DC fast charging.

I've been ranting about this to my local BMW. They sold me a car with the DC fast option. But it is something that even they can't demonstrate it is indeed working in my car. I know there are two extra holes in my car, that's about it. Even they, as the specialist on BMW i Brand, don't have a DC fast charge station.

Right now there are no DC Fast chargers compatible with the i3 in the nyc area. BMW should be announcing plans for DC Fast charging and more L2 chargers in the northeast at the upcoming auto shows. I charge at the only free (customers only) wind powered public L2 charger at the Brooklyn Whole Foods. There is a fast charger at The Hippodromegarage in Manhattan but I think it's ChaDeMo as is the Fast charger at the Seward Park Co-Op.

A private DC charger would be amazing, and unlikely. But you might be in luck.

A Facebook user from the i3 group reported today that the Chargepoint app shows five DC SAE Combo chargers (24kW) available at BMWNA headquarters, some for public use:

This is awesome. I wonder if charging there will activate the free ChargeNow DC Fast charging program? Maybe I'll do some shopping out in Paramus and check it out.

If the i3 is programmed properly, you should be able to see and search for charging stations on the nav system.
