It seems that you are enjoying the car, I live in Los Angeles, and I did buy the part to help me recode it, I am trying to figure out how to home charge it I do like the car but the range is getting so frustrating in a city where driving is the only option I am ready to get rid of it.

It seems like it works for you. I have a portable charger. I recently took a trip, approximately 70 miles, and even after partially charging it three times, I ended up being towed home. I was able to drive it around the corner with 0 miles left, but I am waiting to get a spot in front of my house to charge. I would love to find a way to charge it with something I could put in the car. Also, my portable charger is AC and I can't seem to find some kind of adapter to DC.

I'm not sure if you saw this reply from @EvanstonI3 (https://www.mybmwi3.com/threads/using-range-extender-only-for-electric-charge.3590/page-2#post-77663) on your previous post, but AC charging is really your only practical at home solution. DC charging is mainly what you'll use while out and about at Electrify America, EVGo, Chargepoint, etc.

I'm not sure what you mean by "partially charged 3 times." Was that out during the drive? AC (slow) or DC (the two extra pins you identified in the previous thread)?

AC charging comes at various rates from the 1.0 kW rate of the slowest level 1 EVSE to 7.7 kW rate of a level 2 unit allowing 32 amps into the car. That's the difference between 2 1⁄2 days vs. 8 hours from empty to full. But if your 2015 is severely battery-degraded, then it's possible the reduced range makes the car impractical, even starting at 100%.

Have you heard of the Plugshare app? It will help you find faster charging. I'm curious why you chose an electronic car if you don't have access to electricity?
