Just wondering if anyone has figured out how to stop the initial warning tones to be turned off. I'm refering to the one that starts the boing going off as soon as you sit down on drivers seat to tell you to buckle up. Even though car is not in drive.

I've chked using ESYS the ACSM module and have

GWF_SBR_Distance
GWF_SBR_GESCHWINDIGKEIT (GWF SBR SPEED)
GWF_SBR_MONITOR
GWF_SBR_WARNDAUER (GWF SBR WARNING DURATION)
GWF_SBE_UP
GWF_SBE_DOWN
GWF_IW_DAUER (GWF IW DURATION)
GWF_IW_VERZOEGERUNG (GWF IW DELAY)

I cant see to work out which one woudl do this as cant find anything else on the subject. Not worried as much about seatbelt warning while driving as always buckle up its more the annoying initial bong

thanks in advance

Frequently finding and updating e-Sys and matching data files to work with the current version of our i3's system software seemed like more work than I was willing to do. I also wasn't excited about potentially exposing my laptop to potential malware. Instead, I installed BimmerCode on my iPhone, purchased a license from the developer, and purchased an inexpensive OBD dongle so that I could change the values of parameters that define various i3 behaviors. Bimmercode isn't as capable as e-Sys, but it is sufficient for me.

In the ACSM module, BimmerCode expert mode settings (similar to e-Sys, I think) to turn off seatbelt warning lights and sounds are as follows:

Seat Belt Reminder Lights OFF
3001->Gurtzustandsanzeige_Beifahrer (Driver) ==> nicht_aktiv
3001->Gurtzustandsanzeige_Fahrer (Passenger) ==> nicht_aktiv

SeatBelt Reminders/Sound OFF
3001->SBR-PreWarning_Fahrer (Driver) ==> nicht_aktiv
3001->SBR-PreWarning_Beifahrer (Passenger) ==> nicht_aktiv

BimmerCode's default mode for doing the same is much more understandable:

Seat belt reminder indicator driver seat ==> nicht_aktiv
Seat belt reminder indicator passenger seat ==> nicht_aktiv
Seat belt reminder driver seat ==> nicht_aktiv
Seat belt reminder passenger seat ==> nicht_aktiv

thanks but call me old fashion coding via wireless signal is asking for trouble.

I'm sure its a great app but heard to many stories of bricked modules due to signal loss during write sequence. Just prefer hard wire hence use Esys.

Might see if there is a newer pzdata and try again I think

Hi. Did you manage to solve the problem with the lack of positions in Esys? I'm also annoyed by this sound when turning on the car.
