Is there any secret to cleaning the ACC camera when the infamous dirty sensor error pops up even on cloudy days? I scrubbed the glass spotless with foaming glass cleaner this morning, and ACC still disengaged three times with dirty sensor warnings on a cloudy morning drive. The only thing that I saw in the iDrive e-manual was to clean the windshield in front of the camera. It sometimes seems like the problem goes away after the cabin warms up, and I'm wondering if there is a gap between the camera and windshield that may be fogging up and need to be cleaned?

I'm pretty sure that the wiper blades are genuine BMW (29"), and not aftermarket 28" blades that allegedly don't wipe properly over the camera. I do need to take a trip to the dealer one of these days, to pick up a replacement set before the winter sets in just to be sure.....

If moisture inside the camera housing might be condensing on the camera lens or the inside of the windshield, turn on the rear window heater which apparently will also turn on a heater inside the camera housing to evaporate condensed moisture.
