Hi, I'm a new i3 owner, and trying to connect to my iCloud account in the Office apps.

I put in my account as [email protected] and my password, but then it fails to authenticate the login.

Is there a trick to this?

Thanks

David

Hi David,
For security reason, Apple protects your iCloud account from third party devices connecting to your iCloud account. You have to enable two-step verification on your iCloud account to get your i3 Office app to work.

I did try that ... still unable to get it to work ...

I tried emails etc on my new 2 series convertible while stopped and found it so very slow as it's 3g and a very slow 3g. I have my iPhone 6s plus back in an air vent holder as I cannot put up with the slow speed. Anyway you shouldn't be driving as your can be ticketed for dangerous driving due to taking your eyes off the road. The cops can check times you were on line and I wouldn't debate with them on the side of the road because you know who will win and it will not be you. They can ticket just for playing with a car radio. I do use Siri sometimes while driving as their's know need to use your hands and Siri will read emails to you.

I'm replying as I may be buying an i3 so I'm trying to learn a few things about what the i3 can and will not do.

I have exactly the same issue.
Talked with my local BMW dealer who's trying to help but so far he hasn't solved it for me. I've just send him screen pictures of how the login is failing.

I tried with [email protected], [email protected] and username but login keeps failing. I also tried with tried with 3rd part devices but I'm not getting a text message.

Did you guys find a solution? Thanks:)

I talked with the dealer. and the reply was that it was phone dependent.
Since I have a iPhone 4s I should look for something newer preferably a Samsung. I'm considering it know since I'm a long time apple user....
