Hi,

Bmw i3 Rex 2015

Do you already worked on BMW i3, let me if yoo can help me some….

II bought the car dead, now I charged the HV battery, changed the main fuse (350a) was blown, changed the 12v battery and finally changed the KLE, the car works great now the only thing it stops charging after few secondes, it charge a bit then it stops and display Enable to charge on the main screen…when I scan I have two codes :

222834 Fault Codes Charge management function: Check Control message 804, unable to 222842 charge Charge management function: Fault during the charging procedure DTC

I am hesitating if the LIM is the problem ? or even the charging socket and wires ? the changes Kle is not good ?
I have no other code than the two mentioned above and the car runs perfectly and charges normally with the range extender, the only issue is the charging from the ccs charging port (110/220v)

Please let me know if you have an Idea what is the problem ?

Any help will be really appreciated

Thank you very much,

Here's what the BMW hex code lookup says for 222834 on an I01:
"Diagnosis monitors the display of faults in the high-voltage power management or charge management function.
The fault code is entered in the following cases:
Switching contactors of the high-voltage battery unit stick when open or closed.Frequent signal change of the pulse-width modulated signal from the charger.Communication fault with the battery management electronics or charging interface module."

Here's the 222842:
"The diagnosis monitors the charging procedure.
The fault is detected if the vehicle cannot be charged due to the following reasons:
Charging electronics faultFault in the high-voltage systemDC/DC converter malfunctionInefficient charging due to excessive power reduction of the charge electronicsNo voltage at the charging socket"
It also shows a service plan:
"Check the fault memory in the vehicle for faults with the charge electronics, the DC/DC converter, the high-voltage system or the charging socket. If faults have been stored, continue troubleshooting there. When no fault is logged for the electronic charging components, DC/DC converter, high-voltage system or charging socket, the fault is caused by the charger that is used (charging cable, charging station)."

Good luck!
