Bmw extending battery warranty?

I just received a letter from bmw saying my i3 has had its battery warranty extended to 15 years or 150000 miles. I have a 2017 and I thought it's 8 year just ran out.

I assume unlike the carb states. This doesn't include AC and it's catastrophic fail into the battery.

No. Got the same letter. Read it carefully. It is about a Temperature Sensor in the HV Cell Module.
