Aircon working in the half of the car?

Dear i3 users,
my i3 (2014) has strange aircon issue.
Usually my girlfriend is driving it.
Now we have hot days in Spain (35C) and the aircon is throwing kind of cool air only on the driver side.
On my (passenger side) the air was more like heated thand cooled.

Anyone had issues with that?

It's *probably* a fault with the air direction control flaps within the aircon system. These days they mostly have position sensors with feedback to the controller, so if you access the diagnostic data, it may well tell you what's wrong (but of course fixing it may be an entirely different ordeal).

On one of my vehicles, I had a lucky result by repeatedly changing the aircon airflow direction controls - after a while there was a "clunk" and whatever was stuck freed itself - but I doubt you will be that lucky!
